I've had a bit of a crazy spring. After we moved, I realized I needed to take a break from photographing other people to focus more on family and getting us settled in and ready for this new little one that will enter our lives some time in the next ten weeks!
Part of the issue is that we've been a bit baby-crazy in this household. We are getting my son ready to be a big brother. As he gets more influenced by the excitement in the house, he is also requesting his mama more and more.
It's a bit harder to move around these days, and I'm rather exhausted by the end of the day, making editing take a bit more time than it once did.
But, I am really missing my clients. I love working with families, babies, models, etc, and I'm determined to keep learning.
So this summer I'm embracing the baby crazy and I'm working on babies. I am working on lighting techniques, posing, angles, etc. I want to perfect the baby photos, and really try to work out a style. I'm starting with the newborns and 3-4 month olds, and want to work my way up to a year (cake smash anyone?).
I want to work on developing my style and post processing techniques. So, as always, feel free to (constructively) critique!
So this little guy was my first model of the summer. Gerber baby, anyone?! I had a lovely time with him and his mama, and would absolutely love to work with him again! So give a round of applause to Mr. R, thank you for coming to visit!
